Studio Aisslinger designed the 25hours Hotel Bikini Berlin under the working title: Urban Jungle. The reason: half of the 149 rooms overlook the Berlin Zoo and the other half some of Berlin biggest landmarks. Using a warm design scheme with lots of natural colours, materials and custom furniture they have truly created a landmark.
The web is full of images these days without any credit to its creator. This collection of patterns was found on ffffound but with no one to give credit too. If anyone knows who made these, please comment below or reblog to spread the word.
Welcome to the Nikbor Hostel/Student Residence in Barcelona designed by Normal. Fresh and original were the words most common in the brief. Looks like they nailed it. The textures and finishes combines the old and new perfectly.

In this article we talked about how white is the go to colour for design the last couple of years. Highly disagreeing with this are the Mendini Brothers. Their new gallery Fragile is a feast to the eye with lots of colour and patterns.
Many say this is just faux pas design, other call it a revolution. Both of them are right, but it’s just great to finally see something different after so many years of white walls.
